Fashion Favorites 2013: Kerry Washington

Hey Scholars! Like a lot of other people, I absolutely love Kerry Washington. Okay make that borderline obsessed! I have appreciated the work she has done since I saw her in Our Song back in 2000. Since then her body of work has been amazing. In addition to the big screen, she did a stint on Broadway, and is the star of one of TV’s most compelling shows Scandal. She is not only a phenomenal actress; she is a great dresser as well. Here are a few of my favorite looks from this past year.
To kick off 2013, Kerry traveled to promote Django UnchainedIn Rome, Ms. Kerry rocked a sleeveless, v-neck, front slit, print mix and front ruffled hemline dress by Peter Pilotto. On her feet are navy printed pumps by Nicholas Kirkwood.

While in Berlin to promote Django Unchained, Kerry wore a classy white and ivory calf length Louis Vuitton dress. her headband is also LV. The bag is by Vince Camuto and her shoes are by Christian Louboutin.

At the 44th Annual NAACP Awards, she wore an Oscar de la Renta masterpiece, which is an off the shoulder pink floral guipure and aqua ornamental cloque gown with a rise and fall hemline. Her nude pumps are courtesy of Christian Louboutin. Kotur provided the clutch, brooch, and earrings. The ring is by Neil Lane.

On the red carpet of the 85th Annual Academy Awards, Kerry rocked a gorgeous strapless coral hued dress with bow details at the bustline by Miu Miu. The sparkly bodice with silver beading and coral paillettes is simply beautiful. The matching satin clutch is Prada. The diamond cocktail ring is Fred Leighton. The earrings are Chopard.

On Emmy night, Kerry was arguably the best dressed in a creamy, blush gown with a ribbon like bodice, floral appliques, shimmery beaded embellishments, and a long tulle train. This work of art is from Marchesa.
On her wrist is Movado. The shoes are of course Christian Louboutin. The clutch is Edie Parker. The fabulous jewels are Fred Leighton.

For the White House Correspondents Dinner, Ms. Washington wore Wes Gordon. The sweeping halter gown is monochromatic, backless silhouette, lace print, with a layered skirt. Vhemier provided the jewels and the clutch is by Jil Milan.
